| The Tuning Meter Exclusively for
Japanese Musical Instruments. Learning to tune
Japanese instruments, such as the koto, shakuhachi and
shamisen, takes years of hard training. But with the aid
of this unique tuning meter, even the novice can perform
complex tuning adjustments. It is also true that Japanese
instruments tend to go out of tune more easily than ,
western instruments during a performance, and must be
retuned by the performer. This has caused too many
aspiring musicians to give up before achieving mastery.
We have developed this tuning meter in the hope that it
will contribute to the musical progress of those who love
Japanese traditional music. "Shirabe" means
melody.
